FEASSA stands for the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association. It is a regional body that organises annual multi-sport competitions for secondary school students from East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and Zanzibar. The FEASSA Games are a highly anticipated event on the school sports calendar, providing young athletes with a platform to showcase their talent in various sports including football, basketball, volleyball, rugby, netball, hockey, athletics, swimming, and racquet games like tennis and badminton. The competition promotes not only sporting excellence but also cultural exchange and unity among East African youth. Many talented athletes who compete in FEASSA Games go on to represent their countries in national and international events. Beyond competition, FEASSA encourages discipline, teamwork, and friendship, helping shape future sports leaders and ambassadors for the region. The organisation continues to play a key role in nurturing grassroots talent and strengthening regional ties through sport.
